Flange Spray Shields
econtras® flange spray shields are custom made and serve to protect your personnel and equipment. They are used in places where there is a chance of leakage and where gasses and fluids are transported through pipes under high pressure and/or high or low temperatures.

Flange spray shields are used to protect personnel from spray or drips that might occur at a leaking pipeline joint.
The construction materials often consist of Teflon® coated flexible fiberglass cloth, thread and braided reinforced rope. Velcro fasteners are adhered to each end at the overlap to hold the flange spray shield in position while being tied.
Flange spray shields are tailored for each individual flange to allow a minimum of two inches of overlap at the ends and can be drawn down snugly over studs and nuts to the outside diameter of the pipe.
Flange Spray shields are often used to cover gasketed joints and unions of pipelines conveying acids, caustics and most hazardous media that Teflon® and glass are impervious to.
